Ardent is a research and investigations publication. We show our sources, offer a right of reply and publish corrections in place, with dates.
Method
- Primary sources first: gazettes, official registers, sanctions lists, court dockets, parliamentary records and official reports.
- Every entry labelled by the strength of its source.
- Findings by authorities are kept separate from allegations.
- A resolution is not a ban. A proclamation is not a conviction. A preliminary injunction is not a final judgment.
Standards
- Right of reply before publication.
- Corrections published in place and dated.
- Islam as a faith and Muslims as people are not our subject.
